About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Inspector II, Asset Protection to join our team at Liberty Utilities. As a key member of our asset protection team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and integrity of our natural gas system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct damage investigations and large projects, coordinating with third-party excavators and ensuring compliance with company procedures.
  • Perform on-site inspections to ensure safe operation near company gas facilities and accurate marking of gas company facilities before and during construction.
  • Responsible for pre-marking for company excavations in accordance with Georgia Dig Laws and Regulations.
  • Conduct leak surveys and monitoring of encroachments in conjunction with third-party excavation, as well as pre- and post-blasting surveys as necessary.
  • Timely and accurate documentation of all field activities.
  • Assist operations supervisors in the follow-up and inspection of potential encroachments.
  • Be a technical resource for junior department personnel.
  • Lead/conduct investigations to reported incidents and record incident investigation reports outlining events of incident.
Requirements
  • High School or GED Equivalent
  • 3+ years of gas distribution or related industry experience in inspection and/or compliance
