Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Engagement Coordinator to join our team at Sunrise Senior Living. As a key member of our community, you will be responsible for developing and implementing programs that enhance the lives of our residents and exceed their expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a balanced and engaging activity program for the entire community, ensuring that all residents have opportunities to participate and enjoy their time with us.
  • Lead assigned programs and develop daily, weekly, and monthly plans that cater to the diverse interests and needs of our residents.
  • Find creative ways to keep residents connected to each other, their hobbies, and the outside community, promoting socialization and a sense of belonging.
  • Teach and lead exercises, assist with fitness equipment, and provide support to residents who may be confined to their apartments.
  • Welcome new residents, making a special effort to include and engage them in activities and introduce them to others with similar interests.
  • Implement company-designed programs, inform residents of upcoming events, and maintain a current schedule of activities.
  • Prepare and publish a monthly program calendar that showcases the community's events and programs.
  • Support operations in achieving customer satisfaction scores that meet or exceed company standards.
  • Conduct community opening and closing procedures, act as a manager on duty as required, and engage in community public relations.
  • Coordinate departmental needs and goals within specified budget, hire, train, and supervise the Driver position, and assist in recruiting, training, and managing volunteers.
  • Maintain clean and organized activity spaces and work areas, and perform other duties as needed.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • Associate degree or bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • One (1) to two (2) years of related experience in coordinating, planning, and executing group activities and events.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbally and in writing, with residents, staff, and vendors.
  • Able to proficiently operate standard office equipment.
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel, as well as utilization of iPad/tablet and other technology devices.
