Job Title: PreConstruction Manager-Advanced Technologies-Kiewit

We are seeking a highly skilled PreConstruction Manager to lead our team in the Advanced Technology Facilities market. As a key member of our Estimating department, you will be responsible for developing and implementing win strategies, preparing conceptual estimates, and presenting estimates to executive management and clients.

About the Role

This is a senior-level position that requires a strong background in construction management, construction engineering, or other engineering disciplines. You will be working closely with our team of estimators and engineers to develop collaborative contract models, participate in task force meetings, and communicate with executive management, permitting agencies, stakeholders, owners, and other key stakeholders.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement win strategies for Advanced Technology Facilities projects
  • Prepare conceptual estimates using historical and current market data and metrics
  • Present estimates to executive management and clients
  • Lead a team of estimators and engineers in the development phase of collaborative contract models
  • Participate in task force meetings with designers and bring constructability to project solutions
  • Analyze drawings and specifications to evaluate risks and opportunities
  • Review and assist with proposals and work with the estimating team to evaluate the best value for money/options
  • Support the selection of key subcontractors and trade partners
Requirements
  • Undergraduate or graduate degree in construction management, construction engineering, or other engineering disciplines
  • Ability to generate conceptual estimates for the Advanced Technology Facilities market
  • Ability to lead estimates and multiple teams
  • Strong work ethic, willing to do what it takes to get the job done right the first time
  • Strong attention to detail; strong communication, interpersonal, leadership, and team-building skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products (e.g. Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
