Data Engineer II, Global Logistics Imports

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our Global Logistics Analytics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing data ingestion platforms that can handle large datasets at scale.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and administer data platform built on AWS services such as Redshift, Kinesis, S3, Lambda etc
- Develop and improve the current data architecture, data quality, monitoring and data availability
- Help continually improve ongoing reporting and analysis processes, simplifying self-service support for customers
- Provide technical and thought leadership for Data Engineering and Business Intelligence within Global Mile
A Day in the Life:
As a Data Engineer at Amazon, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from designing and developing data ingestion platforms to improving the current data architecture. You will be working closely with Software Development teams to create a scalable framework for Data Instrumentation.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of data engineering experience
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
- Experience with AWS technologies like Redshift, S3, AWS Glue, EMR, Kinesis, FireHose, Lambda, and IAM roles and permissions
- Experience with non-relational databases / data stores (object storage, document or key-value stores, graph databases, column-family databases)

Compensation:
The base pay for this position ranges from $118,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $205,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
