As a Mobile Technician II at Penske Logistics, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our fleet. Your primary responsibility will be to diagnose and repair complex issues with our vehicles, including engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems. You will work independently, with minimal supervision, to identify and resolve problems, and maintain accurate records of your work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair complex issues with engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes and tire rotations
- Inspect and test vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition
- Order and receive parts, and maintain accurate inventory records
- Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues to resolve issues and provide excellent customer service
Requirements:
- 2-4 years of experience in heavy equipment repair or maintenance
- High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational or technical training preferred
- CDL license with air brake certification required; willingness to acquire CDL if not already held
- Ability to read a map and operate a 26,000 non-articulated vehicle safely and professionally
- Basic computer skills required for data entry into maintenance systems
