Position Overview

We are seeking a qualified Psychologist II to join our dedicated team at the Commonwealth of Virginia. This role involves providing specialized psychological services to individuals adjudicated Not Guilty by Reason of Insanity (NGRI).

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations and ongoing assessments for NGRI patients.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, focusing on risk management and therapeutic interventions.
  • Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions to address psychological issues and promote recovery.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary treatment team to ensure holistic care for patients.
  • Provide supervision and mentorship to psychology interns and practicum students.
  • Prepare forensic reports and documentation as required for the graduated privileging process.

Minimum Qualifications

A Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology is mandatory. Candidates must also be eligible for licensure as a Clinical Psychologist in Virginia.

Preferred Qualifications

Licensure as a Clinical Psychologist in Virginia is highly desirable. Additional training in forensic psychology is advantageous.
