Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Security Engineer to join our team at DataMasters. This role is pivotal in ensuring the integrity and security of our IT infrastructure and sensitive data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement robust security measures to protect the organization's IT assets.
  • Establish and maintain comprehensive security policies and procedures to comply with industry standards.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify potential security weaknesses.
  • Continuously monitor security systems for any signs of breaches or unauthorized access.
  • Lead incident response efforts, performing in-depth investigations and remediation strategies.
  • Document security incidents and collaborate with external entities when necessary.
  • Proactively identify and resolve security issues, ensuring optimal performance of security tools.
  • Configure and manage essential security technologies, including firewalls and intrusion detection systems.
  • Stay informed about the latest security trends and technologies, implementing necessary improvements.
  • Conduct regular security assessments, including penetration testing and vulnerability scanning.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards through diligent security practices.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of security configurations and incident reports.
  • Assist in audits and compliance evaluations, providing necessary evidence of security measures.
  • Work closely with IT and development teams to integrate security into all aspects of operations.
  • Advise on security requirements for application and web development projects.
  • Collaborate with external partners to enhance security protocols and address emerging threats.
  • Develop and support security processes to ensure effective management of security controls.
  • Promote security awareness among users and manage training initiatives.
  • Provide expert guidance to IT staff on security-related issues.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a security-focused IT role.
  • In-depth knowledge of security protocols, encryption methods, and authentication techniques.
  • Experience with security technologies, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and SIEM solutions.
  • Familiarity with various operating systems and network security principles.
  • Proven experience in threat analysis, incident management, and vulnerability remediation.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, GCIH, or OSCP are highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on developing effective solutions.
  • Comprehensive understanding of endpoint and network defenses.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness to support a 24/7 operational environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with cloud security solutions (AWS, Azure).
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps methodologies and tools.
  • Experience in researching and identifying emerging cyber threats.
  • Knowledge of data analytics techniques for security purposes.
  • Broad understanding of various security technologies and their applications.
  • Prior experience in implementing security standards and best practices.
