Electro Mechanic A Job Description

Solventum is seeking a skilled Electro Mechanic A to join our team in Irvine, CA. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing mechanical equipment and components, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment, and web handling systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment and components, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment, and web handling systems.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, basic machining, pipefitting, and millwright tasks, as well as welding and fabrication tasks.
  • Install and upgrade equipment, and maintain pumps.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical and electronic equipment and components.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot power and distribution systems.
  • Program and troubleshoot using programming devices.
  • Operate a personal computer, including loading and removing programs, creating and modifying spreadsheets, and databases for historical trending, and word processing databases.

Requirements:

  • Possess a High School Diploma/GED or higher.
  • Minimum of six (6) months manufacturing experience.
  • Minimum of four (4) years mechanical/electrical equipment maintenance experience.
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, or holidays as needed.
  • Ability to work either a first, second, or third shift (depending on shift availability).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two-year (2) technical degree or technical knowledge and practical application skills in mechanical, electrical, or electronics disciplines at a level normally acquired through formal training in two-to-four years of vocational education and/or as part of an established apprenticeship program.
  • Knowledge and skills of mechanical concepts at a level required to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial equipment and devices.
  • Knowledge and skills of electrical concepts at a level required to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial equipment and devices.
  • Experience with maintenance, systems, technician, electro mechanic, or mechanic.
