Job Title: Senior UX Research Manager

CDK Global is seeking a highly skilled Senior UX Research Manager to lead our UX Research team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for driving the strategy and delivery of UX Research commitments, while fostering a collaborative culture based on trust and open communication.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a high-performing UX Research team of 4-6, leveraging a multi-support model of resource management
  • Lead all activities necessary to ensure research operations and execution provide efficient support for the UX team and the business
  • Formulate strategy to continuously improve product performance
  • Create an open and collaborative culture based on trust in the UX Research team
  • Set clear expectations and goals for UX Researchers while holding them accountable for success mapped to favorable product outcomes
  • Deliver actionable insights to the business with a focus on efficient analysis and effective storytelling when delivering research insights
  • Maintain an accurate and current understanding of the active UX Research efforts being conducted by the team, while managing own project workload
  • Build and develop research toolkit to extend across all levels of complexity
  • Demonstrate, explain, and coach others how to apply a range of research methods, understanding the balance and trade-offs between rapid research and longitudinal research efforts
  • Lead by example by initiating and conducting research projects to help build foundational knowledge of our users, consisting of a mix of problem validation, formative research, and strategic research projects
  • Communicate, advocate for, and socialize actionable insights in a clear and compelling way through good storytelling and delivering actionable insights
  • Partner with the Customer organization, Market Research, Product, and others, to understand strategy, discover blockers, manage quality, and help ensure UX Research is prioritized in alignment with cross-functional consideration
  • Actively seek out difficult impediments to efficiency as a function (process, tooling, etc.); propose and implement design solutions based on data and insights that will enable the UX Org to deliver on business objectives
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or commensurate professional experience in field
  • 10+ years of experience in user research and design, including 5+ years directly managing, coaching, and developing researchers
  • Proven track record of driving change through UX Research
  • Deep knowledge in the field of UX Research with a proven understanding of quantitative and qualitative research methods
  • Demonstrated ability to tie research efforts to business outcomes in line with business KPIs and defines measurement of research to track efficacy for the business
  • Evangelize research: Share user insights within the broader organization and externally in creative ways to increase empathy for customer needs
  • Proven experience as a trusted, strategic partner to stakeholders by communicating and demonstrating value of UX research, and by delivering insights that lead to demonstratable business value
  • Experience navigating and supporting teams through high ambiguity and rapid change while maintaining a consistent research pipeline
  • Expertise working with cross-functional teams leading engineering, marketing, sales, and partnerships with engineering teams
  • Sample work displaying ability to convert research findings into insights artifacts
What We Offer:
  • Base Salary Ranges: $170,000 - $210,000
  • CDK Global is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Compensation packages are based on several factors, including but not limited to skills, experience, certifications, and work location. The total compensation package for this position may also include annual performance bonus, benefits and/or other applicable incentive compensation plans.
