Our client is currently engaged in the development of a significant number of Build for Rent (BTR) assets, totaling over 2,500 units, and is looking for a skilled Civil Engineer to enhance their team.
Position Summary:
This role requires a reliable commute to the surrounding area, with relocation assistance available for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engineering design and construction services for both new residential and commercial projects.
- Engage in the design of diverse projects across expanding markets, with current initiatives in multiple metropolitan areas.
- Conduct field assessments and feasibility analyses for potential new land acquisitions.
- Plan and execute comprehensive infrastructure studies, modeling, and capital improvement projects.
- Design essential utilities, grading and earthwork, drainage systems, and erosion control measures.
- Create detailed design plans, technical specifications, cost estimates, and oversee bidding and construction phases.
- Manage multidisciplinary projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Identify and resolve issues with practical engineering solutions.
- Collaborate closely with Project Managers to optimize resource management and project timelines.
- Lead the development of proposals, cost estimates, project schedules, and invoicing.
- Supervise field crew activities and CAD drafting to ensure timely completion of tasks.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in Civil Engineering, with 5 years preferred.
- Experience in new residential construction is essential.
- Proven background in infrastructure civil engineering.
- Must hold a valid engineering license in Missouri or Kansas.
- Professional Engineer (PE) certification is mandatory.
- Ability to draft and design infrastructure for residential projects and provide engineering stamps.
- Experience in value engineering and structural stamping of architectural plans.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects while ensuring adherence to quality, scope, schedule, and budget.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A degree in Civil Engineering is required.
- Willingness to commute or relocate as necessary.
