Job Summary

The Project Field Engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality of construction work on large-scale wind and solar projects. This includes inspecting and monitoring construction activities to ensure compliance with design documents, specifications, and codes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and ensure the quality of work performed during daily construction activities
  • Determine that construction work is in conformance with design documents and specifications
  • Review tests and inspection reports to ensure all required tests are completed and communicate failing tests to the Field Quality Manager
  • Ensure all materials associated with installation are in accordance with approved submittals, purchase order, and product data
  • Perform basic to moderate surveying and necessary measuring to check line, grade, and dimensions of roadway and structural elements
  • Plan and conduct daily activities in a highly organized manner to ensure all QC and QA data are properly and accurately recorded
  • Monitor and record all work scope being executed and prepare a comprehensive Daily Report with measurement of daily quantities completed and resources utilized
  • Prevent deficiencies through preconstruction quality control inspection
  • Detect deficiencies and address them in a timely and effective manner
Requirements
  • Associates or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil, Mechanical Engineering, or related degree preferred
  • High School graduate or equivalent and 2 or more years' experience in related Construction field
  • Must be capable of completing and passing the local or state certified SWPPP inspector program and have working knowledge of SWPPP project management plan
