Position Title: Senior Events and Conference Coordinator

Location: Washington, D.C.

Overview:
Join the International Executive Service Corps as a Senior Events and Conference Coordinator, where your expertise will be pivotal in managing our Conference Center operations and orchestrating various events.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the planning and execution of all services related to meetings and events within the Conference Center, including social gatherings, departmental meetings, and client engagements.
  • Facilitate daily briefings with the conference team to delegate tasks, review schedules, and provide necessary training.
  • Ensure seamless daily operations in the Conference Center, maintaining high standards for meeting room setups and catering arrangements.
  • Deliver exceptional reservation services, showcasing an understanding of client needs and preferences while effectively managing changes.
  • Foster a culture of client service excellence, ensuring that the team meets established service standards.
  • Collaborate with external vendors to provide guidance and support to outsourced staff.
  • Assist in the coordination of office events, creating memorable experiences for participants.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal departments and third-party vendors.
  • Develop timelines for events and meetings to ensure timely execution and clear communication with participants.
  • Provide backup reception support as required.
  • Coordinate with IT Support to offer knowledgeable assistance regarding Conference Center technology.
  • Regularly assess Conference Center areas to uphold a professional and welcoming environment.

Qualifications:
  • Preferred two- or four-year college degree.
  • Four to six years of relevant experience in a client-focused environment.
  • Experience in the hospitality sector is essential.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Skilled in online database and intranet research.
  • Demonstrated commitment to client service and a history of achieving high client satisfaction.
  • Strong accountability and ownership of projects and responsibilities.
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple simultaneous events.
  • Outstanding communication abilities to cultivate effective relationships with clients.
  • Capability to motivate and engage team members.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
