ChristianaCare is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Nurse Resident to join our team in a nursing role. Our Nurse Residency Program is designed to provide a comprehensive transition-to-practice experience for new graduate nurses.
Program Overview- We offer a 12-16 week residency program that integrates lecture and simulation education, peer support, and preceptor-led clinical experiences.
- Our program is accredited with distinction as a Practice Transition Program by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation in Practice Transition Programs.
- Research demonstrates that new to practice nurses completing a structured and accredited residency program leads to increased competency, reduced error, reduced self-reported stress, and increased job satisfaction.
- A comprehensive curriculum that includes lecture and simulation education, peer support, and preceptor-led clinical experiences.
- A supportive environment that fosters critical thinking, evidence-based practice, interdisciplinary collaboration, effective communication, quality and safety, and professional development.

- Graduating from an accredited registered nursing school (BSN preferred).
- BLS required.
- Less than 12 months of nursing experience by the start of the program.
- Eligible for Delaware license as a Graduate Nurse/Registered Nurse or multi-state RN from a compact state.
