Role of the Carryout Service Coordinator

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome all carryout customers
  • Process phone, online, and delivery orders while ensuring accuracy
  • Respond to phone inquiries using company protocols in a friendly manner
  • Input orders into the system efficiently for kitchen preparation
  • Estimate pick-up times for customers
  • Package food and beverage orders accurately and promptly
  • Ensure timely preparation of items according to cafe standards
  • Engage professionally with customers to assist with menu choices
  • Handle cash and credit transactions accurately
  • Adhere to safe food and beverage handling practices
  • Address customer service issues promptly and escalate to management when necessary
  • Prepare sauce bottles and stock for service
  • Assist in preparing catering orders for customers
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the service area
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Maintain a neat and professional appearance in the company uniform
  • Proficient in operating the P.O.S. system and handling transactions
  • Ability to read menu items and communicate effectively in English
  • Capable of performing physical tasks such as reaching, bending, and cleaning
  • Exhibit professional phone etiquette and effective listening skills
  • Able to carry trays and assist in restocking and cleaning
  • Communicate customer needs clearly to team members
