Role Summary:
The Housekeeping and Environmental Services Technician plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of our clinic on a daily basis. This position involves a variety of cleaning tasks aimed at ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for both patients and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage waste disposal by emptying regular and bio-waste receptacles and transporting waste to designated areas.
2. Perform disinfection of common areas and high-touch surfaces, including light switches, door handles, and drinking fountains.
3. Clean and sanitize all patient-facing areas, including chairs, tables, countertops, and sinks.
4. Maintain restroom cleanliness by sanitizing fixtures, mirrors, and partitions, as well as wiping down counters.
5. Conduct spot cleaning of walls, glass, and doors as necessary.
6. Dust surfaces at both low and high levels within reach.
7. Sweep and mop hard surface floors to ensure cleanliness.
8. Restock consumable supplies and maintain inventory of cleaning materials, placing replenishment orders as needed.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma is required.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar cleaning or housekeeping role is preferred.
