Job Description

BYD Coach & Bus LLC is seeking a highly skilled Parts Manager to join our Customer Service Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing daily operations in parts sales, warehouse management, and warranty claims.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supply replacement parts to bus & truck customers and BYD Service Centers in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Maintain optimal stock levels to ensure Field Service Department and Customers can complete their work without delay, while avoiding excessive inventory costs.
  • Accurately record parts replaced under warranty and details of faulty parts.
  • Ensure parts orders are filled and delivered accurately and efficiently.
  • Coordinate with the Field Service Manager and Technicians to ensure timely turnaround of Customer vehicles.
  • Identify and resolve issues in the parts department to achieve short- and long-term objectives.
  • Maintain all warranty claims and assist in changes, coordinating with vendors for shipping delays to ensure compliance.
  • Follow up on purchase orders and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Handle customer complaints professionally, efficiently, and thoroughly to portray the company in a positive, caring manner.

Requirements:

  • Strong communication skills, critical thinking, and a customer service orientation.
  • Strong leadership and ability to motivate team members.
  • Extensive experience in the auto, bus, or heavy-duty truck industry.
  • Excellent product knowledge.
  • Good administrative skills and inventory management.
  • Good sales skills.
  • Results-orientated and able to work in different environmental conditions.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Supervisory Responsibility: Yes

Travel: No travel is expected for this position.

Education and Experience: High school diploma, or general education degree (GED).
