Position Overview:
As a vital member of the Telemetry Unit, the Clinical Technician plays a crucial role in supporting the Nursing team in delivering exceptional patient care under the direct supervision of Registered Nurses.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges.
  • Complete baseline admission data upon patient arrival.
  • Monitor patients for any changes in their physical condition.
  • Exhibit proficiency in performing technical skills, ensuring appropriate care based on the patient's condition and age.
  • Maintain a safe environment for patients while adhering to standard precautions.
  • Follow unit, departmental, and hospital policies and standards.
  • Engage in unit-based Quality Management initiatives.
  • Implement emergency care procedures in both real and practice scenarios.
  • Document information gathered during tests and procedures.
  • Collaborate effectively as a team member to foster unit cohesion.
  • Execute special duties as outlined in unit or divisional policy under the guidance of the charge nurse.
  • Safeguard patient privacy and confidentiality.
  • Contribute to the educational experience of students and new staff.
  • Support and enhance the education of patients and their families.
  • Adhere to appropriate organizational communication channels.
  • Participate in unit and division staff meetings and training sessions.
  • Demonstrate accountability in the care and use of complex equipment.
  • Undertake additional projects and tasks as assigned.
  • Incorporate principles of Service Leadership to ensure positive patient and customer relations.
Work Schedule: Part-time, with shifts on Friday and Saturday nights.
