We are seeking a skilled Building Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Verizon. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical equipment.
- Conduct inspections and make repairs as needed to ensure systems are operating efficiently and safely.
- Install, repair, and calibrate various types of controls and equipment.
- Review and interpret technical documents, including diagrams and building plans.
- Work at heights and in confined spaces, and lift items up to 100 pounds.
- Valid NY refrigeration license (Q-01) and ability to pass, obtain, and maintain a current certificate of fitness for one or more of the following: fire standpipe, sprinkler, welding, oil burner, and air compressor operation.
- Universal Technician Certification as designated by EPA regulations-40 CFR Part 82 Subpart H.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Relevant vocational or technical training or 3 or more years of relevant work experience.
