About the Role
We are seeking a skilled computational researcher to leverage extensive biobank datasets to pinpoint genetically-defined patient cohorts that align with novel therapeutic mechanisms. This position is part of the Informatics & Predictive Sciences (IPS) team, which is dedicated to driving cutting-edge computational research throughout the drug discovery and development process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct statistical analyses on biobank and real-world datasets to correlate drug mechanisms with specific patient populations.
- Analyze genetic factors influencing disease progression utilizing longitudinal clinical data.
- Enhance capabilities for integrative analyses across various biobank resources.
- Collaborate with research and clinical teams to incorporate germline genetics and biomarkers into clinical trials.
- Present findings and recommend actionable insights in diverse settings, including seminars and project meetings.
Basic:
- Bachelor's Degree with 8+ years of relevant experience, or
- Master's Degree with 6+ years of relevant experience, or
- Ph.D. with 4+ years of relevant experience.
Preferred:
- PhD with 4+ years in population/statistical genetics or a related computational field.
- Proven experience in applying genetics to drug development and healthcare applications.
- Strong expertise in population and statistical genetics, including polygenic models and rare variant analyses.
- Proficiency in high-level programming languages such as R or Python.
- Ability to lead multidisciplinary projects effectively.
