Job Title: Assistant Sports Dietitian

Stanford University's Department of Athletics, Physical Education, and Recreation is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Sports Dietitian to join our team. As a key member of our Sports Nutrition department, you will play a vital role in providing nutrition resources to support student-athletes and contribute to the success of our intercollegiate athletics program.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide individual nutrition counseling and performance nutrition education to teams
  • Develop nutrition education materials and outreach tools
  • Recruit, train, and supervise undergraduate student employees and fueling station aides
  • Assist with continuing education and development of student employees
  • Collaborate with Sports Nutrition team, Sports Medicine, Athletic Training, Sports Performance, and Coaching staffs on student-athlete nutritional health and performance
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in nutritional science, dietetics, or related field and one to three years of relevant experience or combination of education and relevant experience
  • Be a Registered Dietitian
  • Proficiency in sports nutrition, including experience in the collegiate or professional setting
  • Strong time management, oral, and written communication skills
  • Ability to work non-standard work hours or workweek (may include early morning, nights, weekends, or holidays)
  • Ability to work independently and follow through on assignments
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics (CSSD)
  • Master's degree in nutritional science, exercise science, or health-related field
