Job Summary:

This position involves executing a sales plan assigned by the US1289 Newport Meat of Nevada, Inc (Desert Meats) company to achieve maximum sales profitability and growth. The successful candidate will promote and sell the company's products to existing and prospective customers in the Phoenix AZ territory.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain business relationships with current and potential customers to generate new business for Desert Meats' products and services.
  • Visit customers in person to make presentations and take orders while considering SSMG goals.
  • Promote and recommend products based on customer needs, ensuring optimal sales and margin performance.
  • Maintain open communication with inside sales partners to review and oversee order input.
  • Address customer concerns promptly and efficiently.
  • Monitor daily out-of-stocks, shortages, transportation issues, and implement timely solutions.
  • Analyze daily/weekly sales and margin reports to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, product applications, technical services, and other relevant industry developments.
  • Participate in training sessions and customer events organized by Desert Meats.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts, Business, Marketing, Agriculture/Animal Science, or related field preferred.
  • Two years of prior food service and/or sales experience strongly preferred.
  • Center of the plate/culinary experience is an asset.
  • Deep knowledge of meat and seafood category or restaurant/culinary background required.
  • Strong consultative sales ability and self-motivation essential.
Estimated Salary Range:

$60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
