About the Role

The Pharmacy Clinical Specialist is a key member of our team at Tower Health, responsible for delivering high-quality clinical pharmaceutical services to patients throughout the continuum. This role requires a strong focus on patient care, with a commitment to achieving the highest standards of care in pharmacy services related to specific areas of clinical expertise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning, organization, and direction of clinical pharmaceutical services to achieve high-quality standards of care.
  • Provide specialized pharmaceutical services to improve drug usage and therapeutic outcomes for patients.
  • Collaborate with pharmacy managers to develop training and education programs and evaluation processes for clinical activities of pharmacist staff.
  • Prepare formulary review and medication use evaluations of medications used in the area of clinical expertise for presentation to the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary teams related to clinical pharmacy initiatives.

Requirements

  • Doctorate Degree or combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of Doctorate Degree.
  • Relevant experience in clinical pharmacy.
  • PA Pharmacy License must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
