Overview of the Role

Bethesda Health is dedicated to improving the lives of others, and as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care services.

About the Position

The CNA position at Bethesda Health requires a compassionate and organized individual who can provide essential patient care services under the supervision of a Charge Nurse. This includes assistance with hygiene, nutrition, and mobility, as well as documenting patient information and monitoring vital signs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide patient care support including services related to hygiene, nutrition, ambulation, elimination, and safety as directed by the Charge Nurse.
  • Document patient information accurately into the patient record charting based on skill level and follow established standards and guidelines.
  • Complete personal belonging sheets upon admission, obtain and record height, weight, and vital signs, orientate new residents to the facility and unit, ensure that residents receive an armband and provide them with a labeled admission kit.
  • Answer call lights promptly and respond to all resident needs.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • An active Certified Nurse Assistant certification in the state where you will be working.
  • CPR certification required, or willingness to obtain within six months of employment.
  • Long-term care experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact verbally with patients, visitors, and staff.
  • The ability to manage time and organize daily schedules to meet productivity standards.
  • The ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
  • The ability to lift heavy objects using proper lifting techniques and with assistance when necessary.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, prescription, and life insurance, as well as 403b, daily pay, bonuses, career advancement opportunities, and holiday pay.
