Patient Care Support Specialist

About the RoleThis position entails providing essential support services to patients, including assistance with hygiene, nutrition, and mobility. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with team members and residents.
We are committed to maintaining a safe environment, adhering to established guidelines, and ensuring accurate documentation. As a Patient Care Support Specialist, you will be responsible for:
- Accurately completing personal belonging sheets upon admission
- Orientating new residents to the facility and unit
- Ensuring timely responses to resident needs, including promptly answering call lights
- Taking vital signs and weights accurately and reporting them to the Charge Nurse
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of patient safety, healthcare practices, and long-term care principles. In addition to excellent communication skills, they should possess the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information.

RequirementsTo excel in this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of employment
- CPR certification, either current or obtainable within six months of hire
- High school diploma preferred, but not required
- Long-term care experience beneficial
In exchange for your expertise and dedication, we offer a competitive salary range of $40,000 - $55,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience. This estimate includes hourly rates and annual bonuses, reflecting the importance of our CNA roles in delivering high-quality patient care. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, prescription, and life insurance coverage, as well as paid time off and access to continuing education programs.
