Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Sprinkler Inspector to join our team at Johnson Controls International. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting routine inspections, testing, service, and preventative maintenance on Sprinkler systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough inspections of Sprinkler systems, including wet/dry, pre-action, deluge, fire pumps, fire hydrants, and backflow prevention devices.
  • Perform testing and service on Sprinkler systems to ensure they are functioning properly.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on Sprinkler systems to prevent failures and ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and improve processes.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of industry standards, codes, and regulations.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • NICET I certification or ability to obtain within 1 year of hire.
  • Able to obtain and retain any licenses required by National, State, and Local codes.
  • Experience with hand tools and multi-meter usage.
  • Capable of performing physical labor, including carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 50 lbs.
  • Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions, such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment up to 40 feet.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including on-call rotation, nights, and weekends to meet customer requirements.
  • Demonstrate a high level of customer service.
  • Ability to adhere to, implement, and follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times.
  • Strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and ability to learn quickly.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and driving record that meets company requirements.
  • Able to pass a pre-employment background and drug test.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years of documented experience in sprinkler systems.
  • Knowledgeable of NFPA 25 & NFPA 13 and ability to reference material during inspections.
  • Able to obtain and retain any licenses required by National, State, and Local codes.
  • Experience with wet, dry, pre-action, deluge, fire pumps, fire hydrants.
  • Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, programs schematics, and operational/product manuals.
  • Experience with hand tools and multi-meter usage.
  • Capable of performing physical labor, including carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 50 lbs.
