We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Fundraising Director to join our team at ZipRecruiter. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, developing, and administering multiple fundraising and associated activities for our large program or several social service programs in a region.

Salary Range: $85,000 - $110,000 per year.

About the Role

The Senior Fundraising Director will play a critical role in identifying, cultivating, and securing major gifts from individuals, foundations, and corporations to support our mission of finding permanent solutions to crisis situations by offering clients the tools and resources needed to achieve greater self-reliance and stability in their lives.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy to meet annual and capital campaign goals.
  • Build and maintain relationships with existing and potential donors, including foundation executives, corporate representatives, and individuals who share our commitment to serving the poor and homeless.
  • Collaborate with staff and volunteers to ensure that all are engaged in and supporting fundraising activities, including special events, direct mail appeals, and online campaigns.
  • Manage and track donor data, ensuring accurate and timely acknowledgement of gifts.
  • Prepare and submit proposals and budgets to funding sources, and secure approval for grants and other forms of support.
  • Develop and implement strategies for cultivating and recognizing individual donors, including stewardship and recognition programs.
  • Work closely with the Program Director, Committee, and Board to develop an overall fundraising strategy and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Lead the Development Committee and Board in implementing the fundraising strategy, providing guidance and support as needed.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Administration, Fund Development, Communication, or a closely related field required.
  • A minimum of five to seven years of related work experience, preferably in a senior-level fundraising position.
  • Grant writing, including government proposals, applications, and knowledge of federal, state, and local government agencies.
  • Fundraising techniques, including donor database management, direct mail appeal, memorial/tribute gift programs, planned giving.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of flexibility and adaptability.
