Position Overview:

The Senior Commercial Credit Analyst plays a crucial role in ensuring that loan applications adhere to high-quality standards, comply with regulatory requirements, and align with the bank's internal policies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate commercial, commercial real estate, and agricultural loan proposals submitted by loan officers or business units to ensure thorough underwriting, appropriate structuring, and effective risk management.
  • Engage with loan officers, Banking Center leaders, and Senior Lenders to address and resolve any issues identified during the review process.
  • Support the Chief Credit Officer in the ongoing assessment and refinement of the Loan Policy.
  • Monitor the loan portfolio and analyze market trends that could affect credit quality.
  • Assist in the preparation for annual audits and examinations, both internal and external.
  • Participate in training initiatives to enhance team knowledge and performance.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of BankPlus products, services, policies, and relevant regulatory matters.
  • Complete mandatory compliance training and uphold the Bank's ethical standards.
  • Contribute to the bank's performance recognition program by providing referrals.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree along with a minimum of 20 years of experience in lending, credit analysis, or loan review, with a focus on commercial and commercial real estate lending.

Essential skills include:

  • Up-to-date knowledge of banking regulations and procedures.
  • Strong analytical capabilities, particularly in global cash flow assessment.
  • Quick problem-solving abilities and sound decision-making skills.
  • Motivated team player with excellent relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, along with strong listening abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for business needs.
  • Capability to work outside standard business hours when necessary.
