Job Summary:

Applewood Centers is a private, nonprofit organization dedicated to providing mental health services, social services, and education to children, adolescents, and families in Cuyahoga and Lorain counties.

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Infant Mental Health Therapist to join our team. As a key member of our Infant & Early Childhood Mental Health (IECMH) program, you will work with children up to age 6 and their families to address overwhelming stress, trauma, behavioral difficulties, and other concerns that may impact parenting or childcare.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide home and community-based behavioral health services for infants and children up to age 6 and their families.
  • Conduct comprehensive behavioral assessments to identify areas of need and develop personalized treatment plans.
  • Build strong partnerships with parents, young children, and interdisciplinary teams to address relationship and behavioral challenges at early ages.
  • Advocate on behalf of clients and their families to ensure access to necessary resources and support.
  • Contribute to the development of a foundation for life-long social and emotional well-being for young children.

Requirements:

  • A Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy, with an LSW, LPC, or MFT licensure.
  • Experience in delivering mental health services in the home/community to children and families with complex needs.
  • Training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy is preferred.
  • Ability to travel to families and work flexible hours, including evenings.
