Due to their rapid expansion, they are seeking a Senior Accountant to enhance their finance team.

Position Overview

Reporting directly to the Accounting Manager, the Senior Accountant will play a pivotal role in various accounting operations, including month-end close, audit support, and tax compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and analyze intricate financial statements and reports in compliance with GAAP standards.
  • Oversee month-end and year-end closing activities, including reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries.
  • Guide and develop a team of junior accountants, offering mentorship and performance assessments.
  • Enhance internal controls to protect company assets and ensure adherence to financial regulations.
  • Collaborate with external auditors to streamline annual audits and reviews.
  • Assist in budget preparation, forecasting, and financial projections.
  • Examine financial data to uncover trends, variances, and opportunities for cost reduction or revenue growth.
  • Work alongside other departments to guarantee accurate financial transaction recording and appropriate expense allocation.
  • Contribute to the formulation and execution of accounting policies and procedures.
  • Investigate and clarify complex accounting issues, ensuring compliance with applicable standards.
  • Manage intercompany transactions and consolidations within a multi-entity framework.
  • Review and authorize vendor payments, expense reports, and invoices for accuracy and compliance.
  • Monitor cash flow and treasury operations, optimizing working capital management.
  • Support the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax laws.
Candidate Profile
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Minimum of 4 years of accounting experience.
  • Experience in the manufacturing sector or a related field.
  • Cost accounting experience is advantageous.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Exceptional business partnering and communication abilities.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems.
