The Fremont Unified School District (FUSD) encompasses a network of 44 educational institutions catering to preschool through 12th grade, serving approximately 33,000 learners in grades TK-12.

The District Office is home to twenty-three central departments that support the various school sites. The educational facilities have undergone significant enhancements, featuring vibrant libraries, thanks to the community's backing of the Measure E bond.

Qualifications and Requirements

ALL TEACHERS must submit a resume and cover letter.

Include copies of ALL transcripts indicating a BA Degree (foreign transcripts must be evaluated for US equivalency by a CTC approved agency).


FULLY CREDENTIALED TEACHERS must provide either:

  • a scan or photo of their credential indicating the subject and EL authorization (i.e. BCLAD, CLAD, ELA1, ELAE, ELAM, ELAS, etc.)
  • or a screenshot from the CTC website displaying their credential, subject, and EL authorization (i.e. BCLAD, CLAD, ELA1, ELAE, ELAM, ELAS, etc.)
INTERN ELIGIBLE TEACHERS must include a letter of appeasement or a letter of intern eligibility from their university.

Additional Information

The Fremont Unified School District (FUSD) is located in the City of Fremont, California, within Alameda County. Fremont is part of the Bay Area, situated Southeast of San Francisco and adjacent to Silicon Valley.

The following employment procedures will be adhered to:

  • Hiring staff will review applications from candidates who possess the appropriate credential for the position.
  • Applicants for specific assignments will be contacted for an interview.
  • Hiring staff will recommend candidates to Human Resources.
  • Human Resources will extend contract offers after evaluating the applicant's qualifications.
  • Applicants will meet with Human Resources to finalize employment documentation, sign contracts, and receive authorization to commence work.
As the referral and hiring process is managed by Human Resources, applicants are advised not to reach out to the department directly regarding employment inquiries.
