Equus Workforce Solutions is seeking a seasoned payroll professional to oversee the end-to-end payroll process for our organization.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of experience in payroll processing and oversight, with at least five years in a supervisory or managerial role. A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field is required, with a Master's degree preferred. Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation is highly desirable.

We offer a competitive salary of $110k-120k, commensurate with experience, and require candidates to reside within 30 miles of Louisville, KY.

Responsibilities:

  • Payroll Processing: Oversee the end-to-end payroll process, including data input, calculation of wages, deductions, and taxes, and distribution of payments.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of payroll specialists, ensuring productivity, accuracy, and professional development.
  • Compliance: Stay updated on federal, state, and local payroll regulations and ensure compliance in all payroll processes and reporting.
  • Systems Management: Manage payroll software and systems, including upgrades, troubleshooting, and implementation of new features to improve efficiency and accuracy.
