Job Description



At NYC Health + Hospitals, we are seeking a highly skilled Radiologic Technologist Level IV to join our team.



Key Responsibilities:


  • Coordinating and supervising technologists and ancillary personnel in the absence of the department supervisor, ensuring continuous coverage and proper staffing levels.
  • Reviewing exam orders, consulting with radiologists, scheduling patients, and arranging transportation as needed.
  • Ensuring patient documents are available, images are in PACS, and data is entered and maintained according to department guidelines and regulatory requirements.
  • Preparing patients for radiological procedures, including equipment, contrast materials, and supplies.
  • Aarranging for patient, public, and staff protection from infectious diseases and materials.
  • Performing general diagnostic imaging and routine examinations in assigned disciplines.
  • Assisting with daily equipment checks, maintaining supplies, and reporting malfunctions.
  • Monitoring and maintaining radiation safety regulations and a clean work environment.
  • Participating in continuing education activities to maintain professional growth and development.
  • Ensuring examinations are accessioned, documented, and sent to PACS for reading.
  • Maintaining a professional demeanor and adhering to HIPAA guidelines for patient privacy and confidentiality.
  • Identifying patient safety activities and taking necessary precautions to ensure a safe environment.
  • Meeting City, State, and Federal regulations for ionizing radiation exposure.


Requirements:

Valid license and current registration to practice Diagnostic Radiography as a Radiologic Technologist issued by the NYSDOH, possession of a current advanced-level certification in the appropriate specialty area, and two years of Radiologic Technologist experience with one year in a supervisory capacity.

Rotating shifts.
