Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiologic Technologist Level IV to join our team at Queens Hospital Center. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for coordinating and supervising radiologic technologists and ancillary personnel, ensuring seamless patient care and efficient department operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and supervise radiologic technologists and ancillary personnel to ensure continuous coverage and proper staffing levels.
  • Review exam orders, consult with radiologists, and schedule patients for radiological procedures.
  • Ensure all pertinent patient documents are available for final report generation and maintain accurate records.
  • Prepare patients for radiological procedures, including equipment setup and contrast material administration.
  • Arrange for proper patient, public, and staff protection from infectious diseases and materials.
  • Perform general diagnostic imaging and routine examinations in assigned disciplines.
  • Assist in daily equipment checks, maintenance, and repair.
  • Report any unexpected patient incidents and maintain radiation safety regulations.
  • Perform routine procedures on patients requiring specialized expertise and participate in continuing education activities.
  • Ensure all examinations are accessioned, documented, and sent to PACS for reading.
Requirements
  • Valid license and current registration to practice Diagnostic Radiography as a Radiologic Technologist issued by the NYSDOH.
  • Current advanced-level certification in the appropriate specialty area.
  • Two years of Radiologic Technologist experience, with one year in a supervisory capacity.
