Radiologic Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Correctional Health Services. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays, CT scans, and angiography. You will work closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Review exam orders and consult with radiologists to ensure accurate diagnoses
- Schedule patients and arrange for transportation as needed
- Prepare patients for radiological procedures, including infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients
- Perform general diagnostic imaging and routine examinations in CT and angiography
- Assist in performing daily checks of radiographic imaging equipment and other necessary accessories
- Enter data and maintain documents and logs as required by department QA guidelines and regulatory agencies
- Maintain adequate stocks of supplies and materials needed for use in the department
- Report any unexpected patient incidents in accordance with occurrence report protocol
- Maintain and exercise all mandated radiation safety regulations
- Perform other duties as deemed necessary by supervisory or administrative staff
- Possession of a current valid license as a General Radiological Technologist issued by the State of New York
- A minimum of two years of experience as a Radiologist
- A current member of the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
