Job Title: Geologist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and well-organized Geologist or Environmental Scientist to join our team in Memphis, TN. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversight of drilling operations, including installing monitoring wells and soil or rock descriptions
  • Soil, groundwater, and air sampling in compliance with State and Federal standards
  • Implementation of injection or other in-situ based remedial technologies
  • Oversight of system remedial system installations
  • Subcontractor oversight
  • Extensive and detailed note-taking, and effective coordination and communication with project team members
  • Provide emergency response support for train derailments/HAZMAT spills, with the potential to travel throughout the southeast
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science (BS) in Geology, Geosciences, or Environmental Science
  • 1-3 years of related work experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Current valid driver's license and clean driving record
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Current OSHA HAZWOPER 40 HR / 8 HR training
  • Previous industry, consulting, or regulatory internship experience

Arcadis offers a competitive salary range of $55,080 - $82,620, depending on experience.
