Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Mechanical Construction Supervisor to oversee on-site mechanical installation activities and drive project success. This position entails managing mechanical teams and collaborating with project stakeholders, including Superintendents, Project Managers, Engineers, and Field Personnel, to achieve project objectives related to safety, quality, and budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise the installation, testing, and commissioning of various piping systems and mechanical equipment, ensuring adherence to project specifications and quality standards.
- Coordinate project activities to align with the overall project timeline.
- Develop a proactive 4-week look-ahead plan to manage upcoming tasks effectively.
- Oversee material procurement, ensuring accurate inventory management and quality control.
- Manage equipment logistics to ensure optimal usage and maintenance practices.
- Lead and mentor mechanical crews, often working alongside them to provide hands-on guidance.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, implementing effective solutions.
- Conduct daily safety briefings and weekly safety meetings on-site.
- Coordinate inspections and address any identified deficiencies promptly.
- Uphold high standards of craftsmanship, ensuring all team members are skilled in their respective roles.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and environmental regulations.
- Maintain necessary certifications, including OSHA 30 and First Aid/CPR.
- Demonstrate professional integrity and embody the core values of MEB.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Construction Supervisor in sectors such as water/wastewater treatment or industrial projects.
- Strong technical expertise in various piping systems and mechanical construction methodologies.
- Proficient in MS Office and familiar with project management tools.
- Exceptional organizational, time-management, and leadership capabilities.
