Our client is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Manager to oversee and coordinate all technical aspects of manufacturing within their facility. This well-established organization specializes in the production of large agricultural and industrial equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of 12 engineers, programmers, and technicians, ensuring departmental performance, timely project completion, and providing guidance on design decisions.
- Set departmental goals and objectives aligned with overarching engineering targets.
- Develop and implement training programs, facilitate process improvement initiatives, and promote continuous enhancement efforts.
- Evaluate new designs during the product development phase, recommending modifications to optimize cost, quality, safety, and production capabilities.
- Offer technical engineering support for design and manufacturing challenges.
- Assess manufacturing processes for cost efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and feasibility, collaborating with the Director of Operations on cost-reduction initiatives.
- Ensure prompt response and resolution to safety, quality, and production challenges.
- Supervise the investigation, justification, and acquisition of all manufacturing assets.
- Manage plant layout and collaborate with the Director of Operations on construction and expansion projects.
- Act as a liaison among production, design engineering, inventory control, and sales to synchronize designs and manufacturing for efficient production.
Qualifications:
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in leading, supervising, or managing engineering professionals in a comparable heavy industrial manufacturing setting.
- Experience in sheet metal manufacturing processes including cutting, bending, machining, welding, painting, and assembly.
- Proficiency in lean manufacturing principles.
