Job Summary:

The Simulation and Skills Lab Coordinator will assist with the development of nursing skills and simulation activities for our nursing programs. This includes coordinating the set-up of nursing skills supplies and equipment, ensuring the Skills Lab equipment is maintained in good condition, and overseeing the inventory of supplies and equipment. You will also be responsible for ordering supplies, managing biohazard waste, and coordinating the maintenance and repair of manikins and procedural trainers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with the development of nursing skills and simulation activities for our nursing programs.
  • Coordinate the set-up of nursing skills supplies and equipment for all skills labs.
  • Ensure the Skills Lab equipment is maintained in good condition by faculty and students.
  • Oversee the inventory of supplies and equipment in all Skills Labs.
  • Order supplies and manage biohazard waste.
  • Coordinate the maintenance and repair of manikins and procedural trainers.
  • Provide educational and technical support to faculty as needed.
  • Support and promote simulation-based research initiatives.
  • Attend Simulation and Skills team meetings and other meetings as requested by nursing leadership.
Requirements:
  • RN required.
  • Nursing background and health-related experience required.
  • Ability to travel to different campus sites.
  • Able to work both weekdays and weekends as scheduled.
