Job Description

LHH Recruitment Solutions has partnered with a non-profit organization in the Philadelphia area to provide temporary accounting support.

This role offers the opportunity to take on diverse accounting tasks, including cash management, billing, and providing essential administrative support, specifically within the non-profit industry.

Responsibilities as the Financial Management Specialist:

  • Cash Management: Perform cash application, reconciliation, and handle daily cash transactions.
  • Accounts Receivable: Send out AR invoices, follow up on outstanding balances, and assist with collections.
  • Billing: Help with generating and sending billing statements, verifying accuracy, and resolving discrepancies.
  • Expenses: Manage prepaid expenses and perform amortization according to company policy.
  • Grants Management: Assist with the financial administration of grants, including tracking grant expenditures, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with grant requirements.
  • Accounting: Assist with administrative accounting duties and month-end closing tasks as needed.

Qualifications for the Financial Management Specialist:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  • 3-5 years of Accounting experience required, preferably in cash management, AR, and billing functions.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, including prepaid expense management and cash reconciliation.
  • Familiarity with accounting software and Excel.
  • Experience in the non-profit sector is highly desirable, with an understanding of non-profit accounting standards and practices, including grants management.

Compensation: $28 - $31/hour
