We are seeking a skilled individual to spearhead the development of vehicle program energy management, focusing primarily on fuel economy, from the initial program phase through to post-certification.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the integration of fuel economy and performance attributes for both current and upcoming model programs throughout all phases of development.
2. Ensure effective execution of Vehicle Energy Management Engineering (VEME) deliverables to meet program milestones and engineering checkpoints, ensuring alignment with performance targets.
3. Facilitate communication between program teams and engineers, guiding the process from target establishment through development, verification, and certification.
4. Lead the design and application of systems engineering practices to meet fuel economy objectives while maintaining performance standards.
5. Create and refine CAE models for vehicle fuel economy and performance attributes.
6. Develop comprehensive timing and testing strategies for design validation, conducting vehicle assessments across various duty cycles.
7. Support vehicle drive events, including the preparation of all necessary communication materials.
8. Champion initiatives to resolve attribute-related issues.

Required Skills:
- Demonstrated understanding of powertrain systems and energy utilization across the vehicle.
- Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills.
- Ability to navigate a complex engineering landscape involving Planning, Marketing, Engineering, Program, and Plant teams across multiple regions.
- Self-motivated with a proven ability to manage diverse projects with limited resources.
- Innovative thinker capable of applying a systems engineering approach to tackle complex, multifaceted challenges.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for effectively presenting analyses to management and collaborating with various attribute teams.
- Proficiency in tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, and MatLAB.

Experience Required:
- A minimum of 5 years in automotive performance and fuel economy evaluation.

Educational Background:
- Bachelor of Science or equivalent qualification.

Additional Information:
- This position offers a hybrid work arrangement, requiring a minimum of three days on-site each week, with potential for increased on-site presence during extensive testing periods.
