Facilities Management Director and Operations Leader

Crothall Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Facilities Management and Operations to lead the overall management of the Plant Operations & Maintenance Departments within our hospital campus environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program Evaluation and Development: Reviews and evaluates existing programs, services, policies, and procedures to ensure alignment with company goals and objectives.
- Strategic Planning and Collaboration: Meets with hospital clients and staff as needed to plan, prioritize, coordinate, and communicate programs and policies, ensuring seamless execution and effective outcomes.
- Workforce Management and Development: Supervises the flow and quality of work to assure completion of workload and consistency to facility standards, while preparing and leading departmental budgets, including utilities and energy savings programs.
- Regulatory Compliance: Handles and ensures compliance with regulatory bodies such as the Joint Commission, State Health Department, EPA, DEP, ADA, UST, and other relevant authorities.
- Performance Management: Supervises work performance and prepares and/or reviews performance evaluations for assigned personnel, guiding employees on salient features of facility personnel and employee relations programs.
- Capital Projects and Development: Plans, coordinates, and supervises construction and development of physical facilities, reviewing, evaluating, and recommending approval of plans for construction.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Serves as liaison with contractors, architects, engineers, and material and equipment suppliers, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Experience: 5 years of responsibility at a director level in areas of engineering, maintenance, and construction in a healthcare institution.
- Facilities Management Experience: Previous Facilities Management experience in an acute care hospital required.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in CMMS Systems, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Certifications: Certified Health Care Facility Manager (CHFM) preferred.
- Leadership and Communication Skills: Ability to meet established goals and objectives, possess a strong knowledge and understanding of healthcare building mechanical, structural, and electrical systems, and have knowledge and expertise in NFPA, TJC, CMS, DNV, EPA, and OSHA codes and regulations.
