Job Overview

MGS Mfg. Group, Inc. is seeking a skilled Process Technician to join our team. As a key member of our US Tooling team, you will be responsible for the setup, testing, and upkeep of injection mold tooling and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Setup, run, and teardown injection molding tooling and equipment for development runs.
  • Perform scientific injection molding studies to optimize process parameters.
  • Collaborate with customers to develop new and existing injection molds.
  • Work with internal toolmakers and project managers to troubleshoot injection mold issues.
  • Program and operate 3-axis robots to pick and place parts and runners.
  • Conduct root cause analysis to identify and resolve process-related issues.
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external protocols for sample runs.
  • Recommend improvements to plastic injection molding machinery and processes.
  • Design and conduct experiments to investigate process improvements.
  • Analyze test results and make recommendations for process adjustments.
  • Record test procedures, results, and recommendations.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years of plastic injection molding experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of injection molding processes and equipment.
  • Familiarity with conventional manufacturing equipment and tools.
  • Fork truck and Lock out Tag out Certification.
  • Strong troubleshooting and mechanical skills.
