Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Automation Systems Technician to join our team at Gehl Foods. The successful candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting, servicing, and repairing automated systems, computerized systems, and robotic devices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and repair automated systems, computerized systems, and robotic devices.
  • Perform routine and emergency diagnostic checks on automated systems.
  • Manufacture, document, and test control systems and process controls.
  • Installation, testing, and calibration of level, temperature, and flow controls.
  • Troubleshoot electrical systems, including PLC programs, motor VFDs, and other electronic systems.
  • Modify and maintain Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and Human Machine Interfaces (HMI) using various platforms.
  • Assist on shift and as needed with program logic and automation to support all aspects of automation across the site.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 2 years' experience in electrical instrumentation and calibration, PLC programming, and electrical and PLC documentation reading and writing.
  • Safe working knowledge related to electrical and mechanical activities.
  • Computer Applications knowledge for Word, spreadsheets, and charting.
  • Training in electrical, electronics, and programmable logic controllers.
