Job Title: Lead Teacher - Child Development Center

Florida National University is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Lead Teacher to join our team at the Little Angels Children Development Center. As a Lead Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and engaging environment that fosters the cognitive, social, and emotional growth of children.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement curriculum that aligns with the University's mission and standards
  • Supervise and mentor early childhood educators to ensure high-quality care and education
  • Collaborate with parents and caregivers to ensure seamless communication and support
  • Manage daily operations, including meal service, playground maintenance, and record-keeping
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices and industry trends
Requirements:
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Lead Teacher or equivalent role
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
  • CPR/AED and First Aid certification
  • 45 hours of Child Care Training (mandated by DCF)
  • Level II finger printing and AHCA background screening
