Job Title: Lead Teacher - Early Childhood Education

At Florida National University, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Lead Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment for young children, promoting their cognitive, social, and emotional development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement curriculum that aligns with the University's mission and standards
  • Provide high-quality care and education to children, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being
  • Communicate effectively with parents and colleagues to ensure a collaborative and supportive environment
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills and stay up-to-date with best practices

Requirements:

  • Minimum 6 months experience working with children
  • Ability to juggle multiple duties and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • CPR, AED, and First Aid certification
  • 45 hours of Child Care Training (mandated by DCF)

Physical Demands:

  • Regularly required to stand, reach, talk, and smell
  • Frequently required to walk, climb, balance, and stoop
  • Occasionally required to sit and lift up to 50 pounds
