Este puesto desempeña funciones tanto como Especialista en Atención al Paciente (PCT) como Coordinador de Unidad de Salud (HUC).

Un Especialista en Atención al Paciente actúa como un socio de apoyo clínico asistiendo al equipo de atención al paciente mediante la realización de diversas tareas y procedimientos según lo indicado por un profesional licenciado.

Un Coordinador de Unidad de Salud, bajo la dirección del liderazgo de enfermería, facilita la organización de la unidad y la atención al paciente al asistir en la coordinación de actividades de pacientes, enfermería, médicos y otros proveedores de atención médica, así como actividades administrativas.

Esenciales del Trabajo

Atención al Paciente:


Prioriza y proporciona atención básica al paciente que puede incluir el uso de servicios higiénicos, baño, cambios de ropa y sábanas, agua fresca y hielo, movilización, medidas de confort y otras necesidades del paciente.

Asiste con la admisión, el alta y la transferencia de pacientes.
Proporciona un excelente servicio al cliente al responder a las solicitudes de pacientes y familiares.
Informa y registra los hallazgos y datos de atención al paciente de manera oportuna. Informa los cambios en la condición del paciente rápidamente y asegura asistencia calificada según sea necesario.
Según la unidad, también puede ser responsable de las funciones de telemetría.

Puede funcionar como asistente de atención al paciente monitoreando al paciente, atendiendo sus necesidades y colaborando con otros miembros del equipo de atención al paciente según sea necesario.

Cuando trabaja en una unidad clínica, puede ser requerido para llevar medicamentos del sistema de entrega al RN.

Colaboración:
Colabora y consulta con el RN y otros miembros del equipo interdisciplinario para la mejor atención al paciente.
Demuestra un trabajo en equipo efectivo, priorización, comunicación y organización.
Realiza tareas no relacionadas con la enfermería según se delegue (por ejemplo, limpieza, abastecimiento, contestar teléfonos, apoyo administrativo, proporcionar direcciones).
Implementa el plan de atención según se delegue.
Realiza tareas asignadas dentro del Alcance de Práctica y lleva a cabo procedimientos especializados con validación de habilidades y de acuerdo con los estándares regulatorios. Fomenta un entorno seguro cumpliendo con la política de seguridad y tomando las acciones apropiadas en una emergencia.

Apoyo a la Atención al Paciente y Actividades Administrativas:
Responde a las luces de llamada de los pacientes.
Programa pruebas y tratamientos según lo ordenado.
Puede proporcionar control de acceso a la entrada de visitantes para asegurar las unidades.
Contesta los teléfonos de la unidad y difunde información de manera apropiada.
Procesa, organiza, archiva y mantiene los registros de pacientes y de la unidad.
Transcribe órdenes médicas.
Actúa como recepcionista de la unidad.
Puede organizar, abastecer y mantener suministros en la unidad.

Requisitos Mínimos:

Certificación CNA actual.
