Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Irrigation Specialist to join our team at Stemilt in Quincy. As an Irrigation Specialist, you will be responsible for operating an ATV to complete job tasks, turning on irrigation according to instructions, and inspecting/repairing pipes and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate ATV and Complete Job Tasks: Safely operate an ATV to complete job tasks in accordance with company standards.
  • Turn on Irrigation: Turn on irrigation according to the Foreman, Farm Manager, or Regional Manager's instructions.
  • Inspect and Repair Equipment: Inspect and repair pipes, sprinklers, mainlines, and other equipment related to irrigation.
  • Site Preparation: Site prepare for new orchard blocks.
  • Fertigation and Harvest Support: Apply fertigation when needed and place/remove bins within harvest blocks.
  • Safety and Security: Observe safety and security procedures and report potentially unsafe conditions.
  • Additional Tasks: Complete other job tasks as needed, including pruning, thinning, pulling weeds, trellis work, tree training, general clean up, and planting.
