Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as an Irrigation Specialist at Stemilt. As an Irrigation Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and effective irrigation of our orchards.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Orchard Manager and Supervisor in maintaining and operating irrigation systems, including moving sprinklers, irrigation pipes, and other equipment.
  • Participate in fruit harvesting, thinning, pruning, and other activities as assigned.
  • Work with chainsaws and other equipment to maintain and repair irrigation systems and orchard infrastructure.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including assisting with orchard maintenance and repairs.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; experience in irrigation and agriculture preferred.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 60 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of fruit varieties and orchard management practices a plus.

Work Environment:

Our orchards are located in Royal City, WA, and we offer a dynamic and fast-paced work environment. As an Irrigation Specialist, you will be working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions and will be required to lift, bend, and stand for long periods of time.
