Job Title: Specimen Processing Supervisor

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specimen Processing Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our laboratory operations, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of the Specimen Processing department, ensuring the highest level of quality and productivity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of the Specimen Processing department, including specimen processing, test in question/problem resolution, and imaging/microfilming.
  • Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for Specimen Processing in accordance with Quest Diagnostics guidelines.
  • Monitor and improve productivity, quality, and safety within the department.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including Federal, State, and local licensure requirements.
  • Train and develop personnel to ensure they meet compliance guidelines and competency testing requirements.
  • Monitor and maintain a safe, ergonomically sound, and professional work environment.
Requirements:
  • 5 years of experience in a laboratory, medical, or production background, with previous people leadership experience preferred.
  • Excellent leadership, organization, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a biohazard environment and handle multiple tasks in a production environment.
  • Knowledge of systems tools such as COGNOS, Oracle, EMPower, and Kronos.
