Role: Substance Use Disorder Counselor - Bilingual (Spanish/English) Preferred

Qualifications: Master's Degree, Licensed/Certified Bachelor's Degree, or one of the following: CAC, CAS, CADC, CRC, LADC, LICSW, LCSW, LMHC, LMFT. Candidates who are in the process of obtaining Licensure/Certification will also be considered.

Work Schedule: Full Time, Monday - Friday, 6 AM - 2 PM
  • Flexibility to adjust hours one day per week to accommodate later shifts may be required.
  • 10 AM - 6 PM hours may be necessary upon the launch of new programs.
  • Hybrid/Remote options available for qualified candidates who meet productivity standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Your Role as a Substance Use Disorder Counselor:

The Substance Use Disorder Counselor plays a vital role in facilitating our patients' recovery journey from opioid addiction. Counselors provide empathetic, high-quality care through individual and group therapy sessions.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Deliver compassionate guidance during individual and group therapy sessions.
  • Plan, manage, and document patient recovery processes.
  • Co-facilitate group or family therapy sessions as required.
  • Ensure timely and clear documentation of patient care and treatment.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans for each patient.
  • Conduct initial and follow-up assessments.
  • Assess patient needs and coordinate referrals to additional programs or facilities as necessary.
  • Plan aftercare for assigned patients as needed.
  • Provide crisis intervention support to patients when required.
  • Perform case management duties to ensure personalized care for patients.
  • Act as a liaison between patients and referral sources as needed.
Required Qualifications:

Education and Skills:
  • Master's degree in a social or health services field is required, or
  • Bachelor's Degree + Licensed/Certified status.
  • Degree must be from an accredited institution.
  • Prior experience in addiction recovery or medication-assisted treatment environments is preferred.
Licenses/Certifications:
  • If the candidate does not possess a Master's degree, one of the following certifications is required:
    • CAC, CAS, CADAC, CRC, LADC, LICSW, LCSW, LMHC, LMFT.
